Nokia Settings
Setting up Nokia phones

Nokia phones with the Symbian platform (e.g. the Nokia 6600, 6680 and 7610) do not use the usual WAP profile in order for Java applications such as Phonewebcam to connect to the internet, but instead uses an HTTP profile. If your Nokia doesn't have such an HTTP profile, you can easily set one up as follows:

(Note: This page provides the settings for phones on the Orange, o2, Vodafone and T-Mobile networks. If you are a BT Mobile, Tesco Mobile or Virgin user, please use the settings from the previous page instead.)

1. On your phone's main menu, select 'Tools'.

2. Select 'Settings'.

3. Select 'Connection'.

4. Select 'Access points'.

5. Select 'Options', then 'New access point', then 'Use default settings'.

6. Then enter the following depending on which network you are on:

9. Then press 'Back' twice.

10. Whenever Phonewebcam prompts you that it wishes to connect to the internet, it will ask you which access point to use - so just select the one you have created here.

To check that your internet settings are ok, you can run our free Compatibility test on your handset.

Please let us know if any of these settings change by clicking here.
